Thy Kingdom Come!

The Congregation of the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius was founded in 1909 and has been serving in the Diocese of Harrisburg for over 90 years. Our spirituality is Christ-Centered and Mary-modeled and flows from our motto, Thy Kingdom Come.

We are a presence of Christ in the world through our vowed communal life, our spirit of prayerfulness and simplicity, and our joy in the service of the Kingdom. We live out our call and charism by witnessing to, proclaiming and building God's Kingdom, dedicating our prayer and ministry to: evangelization, education, elder care, and ecumenism.

http://usccb.org/nrro/newsletter/summer2008.pdfIt was one year ago in August that a new phase in the lives of the retired Sisters of three separate Congregations was initiated. Sisters of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine de Ricci, and the Discalced Carmelites (formerly of Elysburg, PA) began the venture that ultimately would result in retired Sisters from all three Congregations moving together into one home -- Maria Hall on the campus of the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Through the course of this past year, any initial concerns that might have been felt, have been replaced with the realizations of the many blessings received in joining together to form one home. While the Congregations still number as three separate entities, they are joined together with one heart.
